Free Upcycled Workshops for Kids @ The Great Tapestry of Scotland
Wednesday 18th February - 10am to 12pm and 1pm to 3pm
Thursday 19th February - 10am to 12pm and 1pm to 3pm
A fun, hands-on creative workshop for school-aged children in the Scottish Borders, combining fashion, sustainability, and making skills.
You will:
· Create your own tote bag by upcycling a piece of old clothing, learning basic hand-sewing skills along the way… OR
· Design and print your own T-shirt, exploring colour, pattern, and self-ex
Through these activities, young makers will discover how old clothes and textiles can be transformed into something new, imaginative, and planet friendly. The workshop celebrates creativity, confidence, and climate awareness — all through the joy of making.
Adults to remain with their child during the workshop, it’s a great chance to be creative together!
Funded by Borders Act for Change.
Please book your free ticket, as numbers are limited.
